Virtual Medical Director, Mindset Enterprise Virtual Behavioral Health Program, One Medical
Dr. James Lyda (he/him), is a husband, and father of two. He is a multi-state licensed psychologist, and Virtual Medical Director with One Medical's Mindset Enterprise Virtual Behavioral Health program. He has a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Oregon, and is an APA Minority Fellow. Prior to coming to One Medical he spent over 15 years in university and college student mental health and student affairs as a staff psychologist, CAPS director and Dean with a focus on suicide prevention and population health. Dr. Lyda established the first satellite counseling office at UC Berkeley’s School of Law and later went on to coordinate UC San Francisco’s Mental Health Initiative Grant. He was the founding Global Director of Counseling and Psychological Services at Minerva University, establishing a model of mental health services delivery for students from over 50 countries, in seven cities around the globe. He has also worked in clinical leadership for a mental health startup, and has experience working on and building effective remote teams for nearly a decade.
