Speaker's Profile

Dr. Jessica Watrous is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and the Director of Clinical & Scientific Affairs at Modern Health. She received her PhD in Clinical Psychology with a focus on Health Psychology from the University of Memphis and completed an APA-accredited internship followed by an NIH-funded postdoctoral fellowship at University of California, San Diego/San Diego VA Healthcare System. Jessica has 15+ years of experience as both a psychological researcher and clinician working in a variety of settings with diverse populations. Her primary focus has been on the intersection between physical and mental health including the emotional impact of illness and injury, health behavior change, substance use problems, and treatment for co-occurring disorders. Jessica has published numerous peer-reviewed manuscripts and presented nationally and internationally on her work. She brings her passion for accessible, evidence-based, client- and culturally-centered mental healthcare to her role at Modern Health.
