About Me

Kacy Hutchison joined MAPS in 2022 in her current role as Chief of Government Affairs and Advocacy

Prior to that she worked in Gilead Sciences for 12 years as the VP of North America Government Affairs. Ms. Hutchison is an accomplished executive with deep experience envisioning, developing and launching initiatives that advance access to life-saving medicines in the United States.

Ms. Hutchison has an extensive background in healthcare policy dating back to her prior role at the Office of Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, where she served as Deputy Legislative Affairs Secretary and managed the Health and Human Services, Department of Managed Health Care and Veteran Affairs portfolios. She is a former board member of AIDS Project Los Angeles and the National Kidney Foundation of Northern California and Nevada. Ms. Hutchison earned her undergraduate degree at the University of California, Berkeley and her Juris Doctorate at American University, Washington College of Law. She is a retired member of the New York bar.
