Steve Mallen lost his 18 year son to suicide in 2015 and has devoted the years since then to improving the mental health of young people and preventing suicide. Steve is the co-Founder of the Zero Suicide Alliance (ZSA) in the UK, which now has more than 1,000 member organizations.  The ZSA online suicide prevention training has been completed by more than 2.5 million people. Steve is also a member of HM Government’s National Suicide Prevention Group and part of the Expert Reference Group in relation to the NHS Long Term Plan in the UK.  A high profile mental health advocate, Steve has an extensive media portfolio embracing multiple audio-visual mediums.  Steve has Bachelor and Master Degrees from Cambridge University and was awarded an Honorary Doctorate in Health Science in 2020.  Professionally, Steve has more than 35 years’ experience in international real estate, investment fund management and management consulting.
