Ashley Johnson, CSC-AD, MSW, is the Behavioral Health Project Manager at CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield. With over 15 years of experience in the payor community, she oversees the Substance Use Disorder Program at CareFirst. Ashley held multiple Behavioral Health leadership roles at Johns Hopkins Healthcare for 12 years before joining CareFirst. She received her Associate Degree in Alcohol and Drug counseling from Anne Arundel Community College and her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the University of Maryland. Ashley received her Certified Supervised Counselor of Alcohol and Drug licensure in March 2021 and is currently working towards her Certified Associate Counselor licensure. She also holds a Master of Social Work Degree from Salisbury University. Born and raised in Maryland, Ashley is dedicated to breaking the stigma surrounding mental health and substance use disorder. She is committed to advocating for individuals fighting addiction, ensuring quality services and continued sobriety.
