Shawn Griffin, MD, FAAFP, is President and CEO of URAC, one of the nation's most trusted independent health care accrediting organizations. As URAC's first physician CEO, Dr. Griffin leads efforts to advance quality, accountability and innovation across the health care ecosystem, with a focus on strengthening trust in behavioral health, digital health and responsible health care AI. Under his leadership, URAC has advanced programs that address mental health and substance use disorder parity, telehealth, workplace mental health and health care AI. A nationally recognized speaker and thought leader, Dr. Griffin has been named one of Modern Healthcare's Top 100 Most Influential People in Health Care, serves as co-chair of the National Quality Forum's Leadership Consortium and received the 2024 Salus Award for Individual Voices in Workplace Mental Health.
