Josh brings two decades of experience bringing innovative healthcare delivery models to life. He is the CEO of Hazel Health, a Silicon Valley-born healthcare company providing primary and urgent care services to historically underserved communities. As CEO, Josh oversees all business activity and passionately promotes the organization’s vision and mission to its many stakeholders.

Prior to joining Hazel, Josh led primary-care-disruptor, Paladina Health, as its CEO. Paladina Health, a subsidiary of DaVita, provides full-service concierge-style primary and urgent care to employers and public entities. With a focus on strategic growth, Josh partnered with the top national and regional healthcare payers to develop this new delivery model. Under his leadership, Paladina Health expanded to over 60 clinics across 15 states.

Before Paladina, Josh co-founded and led another subsidiary owned by DaVita. DaVita Rx, the dialysis-provider’s renal pharmacy arm, is the largest full-service pharmacy developed for the unique needs of patients with kidney disease and other chronic conditions. At DaVita Rx, Josh had direct oversight over all business operations and functions. He led revenue growth from $50M in 2007 to over $1B in 2015, establishing the company as the clear market leader in its space.

Josh’s early career broadened his exposure to a variety of businesses at leading global strategy consulting firm, Bain & Company. He joined Bain after completing his MBA from Stanford University, where he had also completed his undergraduate degree. Josh initially launched his career focused on the public good at the Urban Strategies Council and the Partners in School Innovation. He has been able to come full circle with this original passion to serve educators and students in the work he does now as Hazel’s CEO.
