About Me

Lashauna is Clinical Director at Nema Health, a virtual trauma recovery center that uses evidence-based practices to treat PTSD and trauma-related disorders. Nema's comprehensive program offers peer mentorship, case management, daily trauma therapy, and medication management. The intensive portion of the program lasts about 4-6 while follow-up care is available for up to a year to help survivors sustain their recovery.

Lashauna is seasoned clinician with over 20 year of experience as a mental health professional. She has provided psychotherapy, managed programs, and supervised the delivery of services to diverse populations including adolescents, adults across the life span, survivors of childhood trauma, sexual assault, intimate partner violence, and Military Veterans. Since 2012, Lashauna's focus has been on increasing access to evidence-based psychotherapies to individuals that have experienced trauma. Prior to joining Nema, Lashauna spent 11 years as a Staff Therapist and Social Work Supervisor in the PTSD and Anxiety Clinic at Veteran Affairs (VA) Connecticut where she provided individual, group, and conjoint psychotherapy for the treatment of PTSD and co-occurring anxiety, mood, and substance use disorders. Lashauna has expertise in delivering Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Prolonged Exposure, and Cognitive Behavioral Conjoint Therapy for PTSD. Additionally, she has extensive experience supervising master-level clinicians, leading clinical programs, and providing operational direction. Lashauna is a graduate of Columbia University and Smith College School for Social Work.
