Zack Gray

Founder & CEO, Ophelia

About Me

As founder and Chief Executive Officer of NYC-based company Ophelia, Zack Gray is a passionate leader and skilled executive. Under Zack’s visionary leadership, Ophelia’s treatment model lowers barriers for people to receive life-saving opioid use disorder (OUD) support, allowing them to receive treatment in the privacy and comfort of their homes. With Ophelia, patients do not have to travel to a clinic, and they do not have to miss work or skip other daily obligations. Zack is committed to making evidence-based treatment universally accessible. His ongoing mission has been to remove barriers for the 80% of Americans with OUD who are unable to access care.

Zack experienced the challenges of receiving accessible and affordable OUD treatment firsthand when supporting his late girlfriend during her fight with OUD, which led Zack to launch Ophelia. Ophelia lowers one of the financial hurdles that many people run into when seeking help and accepts insurance, and Medicaid, and offers affordable out-of-pocket fees.

Zack is a Y Combinator-backed entrepreneur, a Columbia University-funded research scholar, and a Wharton MBA graduation speaker. Previously, Zack led customer acquisition for a residential solar startup, which he helped grow to $30M in revenue. Zack studied astrophysics and philosophy at Columbia University and received his MBA from The Wharton School.
