Ayo Gathing, M.D. is a renowned board certified child, adolescent and adult psychiatrist and healthcare executive. She specializes in supporting individuals and families, innovative health solutions, and psychiatric treatment. As a Regional Vice President and Chief Medical Officer at Humana Healthy Horizons she inspires others to action in her mission of improving the population’s health and quality of life. Dr. Gathing’s current initiatives focus on strategies for maintaining wellness, improving health indicators, reducing disparities and decreasing the stigma of mental illness. In her previous roles she has been a leader in ensuring access to high quality care as well as the integration of physical, behavioral and social health. Dr. Gathing completed her psychiatric training as well as her child and adolescent fellowship at the Emory University School of Medicine after graduating with a medical doctorate from the Morehouse School of Medicine. She is also a passionate author and dynamic speaker that has used her written and spoken works to connect and educate. Dr. Gathing currently resides in Atlanta, GA with her husband and two children.
