Brandon Kitay, MD

Assistant Professor / Dir. Behavioral Health Integration, Emory School of Medicine / Emory Healthcare

About Me

Dr. Brandon Kitay is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the Emory School of Medicine and the Director of Emory Healthcare’s Integrated Behavioral Health (IBH) Program charged with developing sustainable mental health resources for patients and providers that are evidence-based, timely, and appropriate level of need. Since starting the program in 2020, the efforts of IBH have included the rapid implementation of the Collaborative Care Model (CoCM) presently serving a population of ~40,000 primary care patients, development of an "interprofessional e-Consult" mechanism supporting Emory Healthcare clinicians in their psychopharmacology practice and the integration of mHealth technology towards scaling integrated care. Under his stewardship, IBH has also become an incubator for population-based behavioral health services research, education, and scholarship within the Emory University School of Medicine. As one of many exemplars of academic health system implementation, Emory IBH endeavors to encourage more widespread adoption of similar health service approaches nationally.
