President and CEO, Caron Treatment Centers
John Driscoll serves as the President and CEO of Caron Treatment Centers, an internationally recognized not-for-profit dedicated to addiction and behavioral healthcare treatment, research, prevention and addiction medicine education. Driscoll joined Caron in 2023 bringing more than 30 years of experience in the addiction treatment field, including more than 20 years at the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation where he served in roles ranging from counselor to Senior Vice President of Recovery Services. Prior to joining HBF, John started and directed a long-term alcohol and drug treatment program in Chicago for women and their children. Driscol is a former chair of the National Association of Addiction Treatment Providers (NAATP) and is the current chair of the NAATP Foundation of Recovery Science and Education (FoRSE) that monitors quality outcomes within the industry. He also served on the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) Coalition for National Clinical Criteria Steering Committee, the Joint Commission’s Behavioral Health Care and Human Services Accreditation Advisory Council, and Aetna’s Behavioral Health and Addiction Advisor committee. In addition, Driscoll served as the Chair of the Board of Trustees for St. Croix Regional Medical Center (now St. Croix Health) in Wisconsin. Driscoll holds an undergraduate degree in psychology from Northern Michigan University and attended the clinical psychology graduate program at Marquette University where he completed all but his thesis for his master's degree in clinical psychology. In 2008, he earned an MBA from Hamline University. He was also a licensed alcohol and drug counselor in the state of Minnesota.
