Professional Basketball Player, WNBA Athlete
After growing up in Suwanee, Georgia, and playing for the Duke Blue Devils, Lexie was drafted by the Connecticut Suns as the ninth overall pick in the 2018 WNBA Draft. She was traded to the Minnesota Lynx in 2019 and then to the Chicago Sky halfway through the 2021 season, where she won a WNBA Championship. After this season, she was signed by the Los Angeles Sparks but could not complete the entire 2023 season due to undiagnosed Crohn’s disease.
This medical challenge gave her a new outlet to enjoy her favorite game. Lexie has been able to co-host the Gilbert Arenas Podcast Show and also serve as a women’s basketball analyst with the ACC network. She was even able to fill in during a game this season while still being sidelined with complications from her Crohn’s disease. She is thrilled to be able to use her knowledge and understanding of the game while getting healthy enough to return to the court very soon.
