Trip Hofer is a Venture Partner at .406 Ventures and brings decades of experience running healthcare companies to the firm. In addition the role of CEO of .406 portfolio company Redox, he helps identify and evaluate new investment opportunities and advises portfolio companies. Trip was CEO of Optum Behavioral Solutions, the largest provider of mental health services in the US. He assumed that role after leading the sale of his previous company, AbleTo, to Optum. Before AbleTo, Trip held leadership roles at CVS Health (where he led acquired companies including Accordant and Novologix), Health Dialog, and UnitedHealth Group. Trip started his career at Booz Allen, a leading management consulting firm, before taking a series of senior roles supporting the Office of the Mayor of Washington, D.C. Trip received a BA in economics and environmental studies from St. Lawrence University and an MBA from Yale School of Management.
