Description:

Community support plays a vital role in addressing substance use disorder (SUD) and serious mental illness (SMI) within the justice system. To effectively  prevent incarceration and reduce relapse rates after release, a holistic,  whole-person care approach is essential. This requires collaborative efforts  among diverse stakeholders, including correctional facilities, social service  organizations, and healthcare providers. By working together, we can enhance  treatment effectiveness, improve crisis response, and emphasize the  importance of Medicaid access during reentry. Join us as we explore  innovative strategies to improve outcomes for individuals navigating the  justice system, fostering a pathway to recovery and reentry.
