Description:

For decades, childhood television shows like Sesame Street and Mr. Roger’s House  have captivated audiences worldwide with their thoughtful programming and  engaging messages. Now, with the rise of new media, how can entertainment and  education—or, as Walt Disney defined it in 1954, “edutainment”—be used to  reach youth and young adult audiences about mental health? Through a  by-youth, for-youth lens, panelists will explore how engaged communication  and co-designed content from the new media industry can be used as an  effective prevention approach to meet young people’s needs where they are the  most: in the digital world.
