In case you missed it, here’s a deeper look at the ideas and experiences that are shaping our agenda.

Last month, we celebrated Mental Health Awareness Month by introducing new themes and experiences you can expect at Behavioral Health Tech 2025 (BHT2025) in November. We’re excited because it also marks 6-months until we gather in person to discuss these important topics impacting us all.

In case you missed it on LinkedIn, here’s a deeper look at the ideas and experiences that are shaping BHT2025. Hope to see you November 11-13 in San Diego (register here).

BHT2025 Programming Themes

Mental health affects nearly everyone in some way, and the care and support each person needs varies drastically depending on individual circumstances. This creates challenges in the healthcare system for those trying to find care and provide care. This year, we’re focused on the following themes to build a robust agenda that will benefit those helping to expand access to behavioral health care. The themes we’re focused on in 2025 include:

  • Community-Based Care: Last year, we highlighted the work of CCBHCs, FQHCs, large I/DD provider organizations like Merakey, and local & state government agencies. This year, we're continuing to explore how community approaches can be enhanced through technology.
  • Finance, Legal & Regulatory: Building on last year's lineup with leading VCs, law firms, government leaders, and policy advocates, we're diving deep into the strategies that can help behavioral health organizations navigate today's regulatory and economic terrains.
  • Neurodiversity: We received positive feedback about adding neurodiversity last year. We're expanding the dialogue by bringing together states, providers, and payors to identify scalable, inclusive solutions for neurodiverse individuals.
  • Public/Private Partnerships: Expect in-depth conversations from Medicaid experts and insights into the partnerships that are making care accessible to those who need it most.
  • Scaling with Quality: While expanding access to care is important, we will always emphasize that quality of that care is crucial. Hear from companies who are mindfully scaling their care with cultural competence and evidence-based practices.
  • Serious Mental Illness: Sessions will spotlight the trailblazers addressing some of the most complex and persistent mental health challenges, including schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and severe depression, with community-based support and scalable digital tools.
  • Specialized Care: This track highlights the innovators designing precise, evidence-based solutions for populations too often overlooked, including OCD, eating disorders, maternal mental health, veterans' mental health, and more.
  • Substance Use Disorder: From tech-enabled MAT to community-driven models, this track highlights leaders who are reimagining the full continuum of care with equity and accessibility at the center. Sessions will include deep dives into models tailored for youth, justice-involved individuals, and those with co-occurring mental health conditions.
  • Value & Payment: Sessions will highlight emerging strategies in reimbursement, risk-sharing, and value-based contracting that align incentives across payers, providers, and patients.
  • Workplace Wellbeing: Last year we featured leaders from Google, Microsoft, Zoom, and Salesforce, sharing how they're building healthier, more supportive workplaces. This year we're excited to welcome Amazon and other employers and benefits consultants to continue the conversation about creating benefit ecosystems that prioritize employee wellbeing.
  • Youth & Young Adults: This track will amplify real stories, real solutions, and the organizations driving meaningful change for the next generation.

We know these themes, tracks, and sessions will spark meaningful conversations and ripple through the community to create real change. Beyond that, we’re focused on building a deeper community through immersive and engaging experiences that create connection. These experiences include:

  • Big Health's Puppy Lounge
  • Lucet’s Barista Bar
  • Navigator Healthcare’s Fun Run/Walk along the marina
  • Veteran's mental health give back program in partnership with a local nonprofit
  • Night Market on the marina with delicious bites, drinks, and entertainment

Lastly, we’re working on curated networking opportunities to put decision-makers in the room together to create big change. Ask us about our:

  • Invite-only breakfast for community-based provider executives to have conversations about real challenges and opportunities.
  • A private breakfast exclusively for Medicaid executives to have an open, honest dialogue about mental health, substance use, and IDD care benefits.
  • Invite-only happy hours for health plans, employers, community-based providers, and more.

Now that we’ve announced our themes for 2025, we’ll start announcing speakers this month, with a full agenda coming in August.

If you’re interested in partnering with us, there are still opportunities to connect with decision makers and make real change happen.
